Barbara Hack is the mother of three grown children, and a Neonatologist practicing in the NICU at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She received her BA from Dartmouth College and her MD from The George Washington School of Medicine. She further trained in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital in Washington DC and in Neonatology at Columbia-Presbyterian in NYC. She is married to Greg Hack, an orthodontist in Southeastern CT. Their youngest child Olivia, currently a college junior, was an 8-year member of the Elm City Girls’ Choir, spending 6 of those years in the Senior Choir/Camerata Division. A life-long musician herself, Barbara is constantly amazed at the level of musicianship developed in the UGC choristers. She recognizes the formative experience provided to so many young musicians in the region by the choir, and is thrilled to be part of the Saecula Choir Foundation as they endeavor to bring this experience to many girls in the future.
