Saecula Singers

Saecula Singers is an auditioned all-gender youth choir providing outstanding musical training and performance opportunities for talented young singers of diverse backgrounds. The ensemble has performed in benefit concerts for IRIS and has shared the stage with many distinguished ensembles, including Khorikos, Village Harmony, the Yale Glee Club, Yale Schola Cantorum, Redhot and Blue, The Duke’s Men of Yale, GMChorale, and Alchemy. In 2017, one of the group’s founding members, Leah Suffern, established “Waging Peace Through Song”, an ongoing project in which the ensemble leads workshops and informal performances aimed at fostering peace, tolerance, and empathy. “I enjoyed the music and spontaneity of it! The repertoire had a great variety that engaged the audience and made the concert so exciting. I’m just becoming more comfortable conducting and it was a great setting for me to conduct a song with a great group.” -Kruttika G., member of Saecula Singers
