Established in 2014, the June Hale Award for Excellence in Music Education is presented to an exceptional music teacher whose work has had a significant impact on the lives of students, colleagues, and the arts community. The recipient is an individual who, throughout a long and distinguished career, has consistently upheld the highest standards of performance, scholarship, artistry, and teaching, and who has been an outstanding role model and mentor to many generations of fellow music educators.
