June Hale, SCF Board Chair, is a retired public and private school music educator.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from North Texas University and a Master’s degree in Music Theory from the University of Houston.  She taught K-6 music in the Orange, CT public schools for thirty years, taught for eight years at St.Thomas Episcopal Day School in New Haven, was Organist/Choirmaster at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Madison, for seventeen years, and Organist/Choirmaster at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Cheshire for eight years.  Currently, Mrs. Hale is organist at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Fair Haven, Vermont.  She has served in various capacities with the United Choir School since its founding.
